T O P I C R E V I E WEmGemI'm really curious to hear people's experiences with their natal OR synastry out of sign conjunctions. I would love to know how you feel them. I'm sure they are still effective even though some believe they are not. Please state your orbs too. Also, does it depend on the planets involved as to how effective the conjunction is? E.g let's say you have a venus in cancer conjunct Jupiter in Leo. Because Jupiter is benefic, would this be a felt more positively? Rather than say moon in cancer conjunct Saturn in Leo?! Thoughts? Kannon McAfeeIn my natal chart Venus 28TAU50 is conjunct Mars 5GEM31, but admittedly that is a wide conjunction at 6°41' orb. I feel it mostly in my love of music and desire to sing.Jupiter gets a wider orb in such conjunctions, as well as Moon and Sun. It's not about how effective it is, but what orb you use for such planets. Jupiter could go to an 8-9° orb, especially if it is conjunct Sun or Moon.Yes, Jupiter aspects are generally felt positively no matter what the other planet(s), but also tends to induce over-confidence or indulgence (especially if Sun, Moon, Venus, Asc involved).------------------The Declinations Guy - Expert birth chart rectificationClickable Rising Signs> ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓EmGemThank you Kannon I'm happy to hear that you feel yours!I actually have my cancer venus conjunct someone I'm romantically interested in's Jupiter in Leo and it's a 9 degree orb. His venus also trines my Jupiter (they are also contraparallel) I'm thinking it's a legit DW. We haven't spent enough time together yet but I was interested to see if the energy might be felt. Also since I have planets in Leo I thought it might make a difference ? Now, something that just came to mind. What about when we talk squares in compatibile signs? E.g let's say for example there's a natal moon in early Virgo square venus in late Scorpio?? It's still a square right but how is is it felt differently due to the signs getting on? This confuses me. To be honest, I don't even think about my out-of-sign conjunction much, but something does stand out about it. The aspect in question is Moon conjunct South Node in Cancer. Well, the ruler of my South Node is the Moon. Normally, the reason I don't think about my South Node conjunction is simple. For a while, I wasn't sure if it really counted, especially with my Moon in Gemini, not Cancer. Now that I think it does count, however, I'm still struggling to determine how it plays out. This thread was particularly interesting to me. It came up in my Google search: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/209819.html Mainly, what caught my interest was this quote from the thread to which I just linked: quote:Moon conjunct south node people have mastered the psychic realm in a past life.My Moon conjunct South Node aspect is out-of-sign, and the orb is 5, but I think that this interpretation applies to me. In this life, I have not mastered the psychic realm. I have, on the other hand, seen evidence that perhaps there is potential to do this. While I think I may have some amount of psychic ability, I've decided to leave the psychic realm alone and pursue it only through interest in the subject and leave the gift largely undeveloped until I have at least developed my North Node further. Oddly enough, I'm actually more into the qualities of my North Node, because I feel like pursuing my North Node qualities would further the goals I already have. Going in my South Node's direction would only delay progress, and right now, I really need to make some progress.I have a certain level of psychic ability that I have not fully tapped into. This is intentional, because in contrast to what my aspect would lead you to believe, I think I'm more interested in dealing with the Capricorn energy in my chart. After all, I tend to really like Capricorns and Capricorn traits. It's not really possible for me to explain this. The interest is a bit confusing to me, but I think I just really like the idea of achieving things and being successful. If I'm not careful, I could wind up with a Capricorn South Node at some point. In all seriousness, it's quite likely that I do feel the Moon conjunct my South Node. It was not too long ago that I identified more with my South Node qualities. This has changed with Saturn's visit through my 1st house - where it's actually still located - and its opposition to my Moon. My South Node conjunction manifests without effort, though as I've mentioned already, I have purposely not developed my psychic abilities further. I'm not even sure if I really know how to do that. Either way, I want to work with my North Node. It's getting a nice conjunction from its ruler soon.StelliaI have Mars at 27LEO17 and Jupiter at 0VIR16 - orb of 3 - and I absolutely feel that as a conjunction. I'm less sure of my NN though - my True Node is at 26LEO58 mean Node 25LEO58 - so don't know if this would be in orb. I need to do more research on this aspect. One thing I'd say with Node conjunctions out of sign is that, given the importance of the house in nodal interpretation, as long as it's in the same house, I'd expect to see it felt; possibly more so in some ways than same sign but different house. charlieOh yea...Cancer Venus conj Leo Saturn. I also have a slightly wide orb between Scorpio Uranus and Sag Neptune which I can easily pinpoint! I am eccentric and provocative with my thoughts and ideas and my mind (emphasis on my mind-not necessarily actions) is a loose canon..Some, more....ehh..stable people, find me absolutely terrifying of rocking their status Q boat. This particular aspect also gives me this uncanny feeling of being “one with universe” and I can really feel being parallel with things that are happening around me. It somehow eases my soul not feeling the need to fight what is bound to happen, like many do. I’ll just change my way of thinking and then I adapt.Kannon McAfeeThe idea that somehow two planets not being in the same sign hampers or blocks the aspect they are in is sign-based astrology that over-emphasizes the place of signs. Sign-based astrology defines itself around the signs and keeps them prominent over planets and aspects. So the principle here is that geometry is geometry, no matter what modes of expression (signs) the planets may be in. That is just as true with interaspects between two people's charts as it is in one person's natal chart.------------------The Declinations Guy - Expert birth chart rectificationClickable Rising Signs> ♈ ♉ ♊ ♋ ♌ ♍ ♎ ♏ ♐ ♑ ♒ ♓hearttreasureSo, the opposition, the square, the trine, the sextile out of the signs are also can be felt or effecting the personality of the person ?
